Christie Skinner, Licensed Esthetician

I graduated from Penn State with a BS in Communications Disorders and subsequently enrolled in the University of Pittsburgh's Speech Pathology Graduate Program. Although I loved the studies and Pittsburgh, I made the tough decision to leave the program because I wasn't sure of what I really wanted out of life.  While I searched for my proverbial self, I landed in sales.  I guess you could say I found myself when I met my wonderful husband, Keith, while we were both working for Sanofi Pharmaceuticals. It was as a pharmaceutical sales representative for Elan Pharmaceutials and Topix Pharmaceuticals that I discovered the field that interested me most - Dermatology!  As timing would have it, I learned I was expecting our first child within days of losing my position because of downsizing.  I decided not to work outside the home and chose to stay home with my expected baby. I'm so lucky to still be "at home" and working in a profession I find fun and fascinating!

Today, Keith and I have two smart and cheerful daughters!  When they were both in preschool, I decided to enroll in the Vision Academy's Esthetic Training Program.  I earned my license in 2010. 

I continue to learn through classes, webinars, conferences and from my clients.
